I’m very excited that my recycled map stationery is getting so much exposure this year. The holidays are always a busy time, but this year things really seem to be amping up. It’s making me start to think in terms of refining my blog, which as you know has thus far been a conglomeration of random thoughts, into a true art/design/craft blog. Maybe that will be a goal for 2010…transitioning into something more professional (and more lucrative).
Rounding out my excellent 2009 are some blog mentions I wanted to brag about. First off, the good people at Focus Organic have now included me in their Green Christmas and Holiday Gift Guide for the second year in a row!

New this year is an inclusion in the Indie Fixx Handmade Holidays Gift Guide. That’s a site I’ve admired for a while, and I’m thrilled they noticed my stuff.

And finally, A Perfect Peach also discovered the joys of map stationery!

This has been my most successful year yet, and I’m hopeful that it will only get better from here on out!

My handmade stationery sets made from vintage Appalachian Trail maps were featured on a blog this week! Thanks to another Megan at Studio M.M.E. Stutterings for taking notice of my handiwork. Check out my Etsy shop (Dote Handmade Goods) for the entire selection.

Happy to announce that Dote Handmade Goods are now featured by Cosa Verde, a juried site that “connects independent and emerging artists
with environmentally-conscious consumers.” I am proud to be chosen as a marketer on this site, primarily because they planted 10 new trees in my honor. Yay!
