A lot of blogs are comment-less. I’m sure people find your content interesting, but perhaps they don’t feel inclined to say anything.

One thing I notice in my blog stats, is that there are a lot of Spam spiders in the referral section – which are also counted as views. Those clowns are trying to trick blog owners into clicking on those links to their own Websites. How very devious of them.

Are search engine spiders hits counted as views? I wonder how much of that traffic accounts for views? You do use a lot of common keywords.

And then there are people who found your site because of a keyword, dropped in and just moved on. Surfers just like me.

I guess what all of this boils down to is, are these 400 views people or Web crawlers/spiders – and if it’s people, did they find what they were looking for or did they just end up passing through?

Perhaps you might try a poll. Web spiders/crawlers don’t answer polls. Perhaps a poll on what content people find most interesting about your blog by general category. The results should be quite interesting…

Thank you. I’m not really sure about spam spiders. I have the thing that weeds out spam comments but I didn’t really consider that they might be showing up as views. Hmm. Maybe I am not as popular or interesting as I thought! LOL! I’m fine with surfers…but I still think they should leave comments if they enjoy the content, like you just did. 🙂 As I always say, “Everyone needs validation.”

I read but never comment. So here’s your comment. You should feel special. Love you Megs!
