Time for Some Ladysmith

As I wrote about previously, I saw Ladysmith Black Mambazo a few months ago, and it was one of the best experiences of my life. This live footage of a performance in South Africa with Paul Simon in the 1980s is something I watch kinda frequently because it just makes me feel at ease. I love their music, but watching them perform just brings it to a new level. I love them. (Be sure to watch both parts! They’re both really good, so I couldn’t decide which one to post.) Part two contains dance steps I can actually do, and I usually dance along with it in my living room while Birdy tries to figure out why her choreography doesn’t match mine when she steps alongside me. It looks so easy, but it’s kind of a workout if you try to do it and sing at the same time. Try it, I dare you.
