Crafty Update: Holiday Gift Guides Galore!

I’m very excited that my recycled map stationery is getting so much exposure this year. The holidays are always a busy time, but this year things really seem to be amping up. It’s making me start to think in terms of refining my blog, which as you know has thus far been a conglomeration of random thoughts, into a true art/design/craft blog. Maybe that will be a goal for 2010…transitioning into something more professional (and more lucrative).

Rounding out my excellent 2009 are some blog mentions I wanted to brag about. First off, the good people at Focus Organic have now included me in their Green Christmas and Holiday Gift Guide for the second year in a row!

New this year is an inclusion in the Indie Fixx Handmade Holidays Gift Guide. That’s a site I’ve admired for a while, and I’m thrilled they noticed my stuff.

And finally, A Perfect Peach also discovered the joys of map stationery!

This has been my most successful year yet, and I’m hopeful that it will only get better from here on out!

Crafty Update: New Blog Mention!

Just want to say thanks to Laura at Bright Bold Beautiful who has included my recycled map stationery in her current holiday list of “favorite things.” These puppies are taking off this year — I hope it continues! Thanks to everyone for all of your support. It was even on the front page of Etsy this morning, and as we all know, that is major exposure and something I’d been hoping for for ages! Onward! Let’s hope one day this will be my day job!!

Crafty Update: Recycled Wallets

By now you are probably aware of my penchant for all things crafty and all things recycled. I frequently like to combine the two. Recently I found this cool place mat on a trip to Goodwill, and I decided to turn it into cute wallets with velcro closure. Coocatchoo has already claimed one, and the rest are for sale in one of my Etsy shops. They’re the perfect size, cute colors, and totally one-of-a-kind!
